Simple Flat Bread: Just 5 Ingredients

This quick flat bread will make your lunches easy and delicious!
Servings: 6 flat breads

Ingredients

  • 2 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 3/4 cups Plain Yogurt (greek is okay and will make a thicker dough)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together flour, salt, and baking powder.
  2. Add in yogurt and olive oil and mix until a dough forms. You can adjust flour and yogurt amounts until you get a nice firm dough that is not sticky.
  3. Knead the dough for a few minutes until all the ingredients are well combined and the dough is smooth. You can choose to refrigerate the dough at this point if you are not using it right away or you can cook right away.
  4. Cut the dough into 6 equal pieces and roll out dough, flipping over and rotating with each roll to help it form a round or oval shape. Roll out to your desired thickness and size, about 1/4 of an inch for a fluffy bread. It will puff up as it cooks so go a little thinner than you want the bread to be.
  5. Heat up a skillet on medium high heat. I love to use cast iron for this.
  6. Cook for a minute or two on each side until the surface has browned spots to your liking.
  7. Enjoy!!
