- In a large skillet over medium heat (check out my favorite 12 inch cast iron skillet) , cook sausage until browned an fully cooked. Don’t drain the fat.
- Sprinkle the flour evenly over the sausage and stir well to coat the meat and absorb the fat. Cook for about 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Gradually pour in the milk while stirring and stir until the mixture is smooth and starts to thicken.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- If it gets too thick, add in more milk to adjust the consistency until it is your preferred texture. Serve warm over biscuits or with any breakfast! Enjoy!
